Just wondering how everyone was coping with this awful weather we are having,it's wet and wintry feeling up here today.I still put Indee and Iana out this morning, but the poor wee mite was pretty reluctant,it is dry and a bit brighter now.I have been putting them in earlier each day, wish we could have some warm sunshine

My filly's bouncing around like a bouncy thing in her fleece-lined turnout - she was 4 weeks old on Saturday and has outgrown two of them already! My main worry is that she doesn't lie down as much as I'd like her to on the wet ground - but it's not bothering her! And she makes up for it at night crashed out in her bed. I don't think it's been as wet here (Moray) as in a lot of places and the ground is sandy so there's no mud but it's certainly not warm - the stallions are in 300gm turnouts
My foal is out 24/7 but they do have access to a large shed, mine are starting to get cracked heals from all this wet and very long grass, having to cream her mum but think i will have to bring her home as she is getting wise to the cream and is getting very hard to catch, couldn,t get near her this morning going back up soon for round two.
mine have had hardly any turnout this year. Foals are going ballistic in their stables, its flooded and a skating rink in the fields, what can anyone do, never known it so wet for so long.
