This is my filly KRYSTL BALLENINA. She is Russian related through PSYNERGY. She is a bit like her great granddam Balenina (in my dreams...!!!)

 Here's Nebraska, although I won't pretend to know percentages, but I do know she is straight Russian, we are fortunate enough to be just getting to know this 19yrs young lady

Nebraska has the most illustrous Russian pedigree with lots of Egyptian through Aswan and Nil :)) Her dam Nida was bred at Tersk and thought for many years to be by Aswan. After some incident and investigation proved she was infact by the Nil son Naslednik who had been bred to his 3/4 sister to produce Nida - very intense !! Nebraska's great grand mother was the wonderful Nomenklatura who was half Crabbet and the dam of Nabeg !! I think you have a little piece of Russian royalty there  |

And of course his Nibs (Tes Nabil) is a Kubinec great great grandson, so as I said I dont know percentages but here he is
Oooohh! can't wait for this year, we learn't a lot in a year and hopefully we can do him a bit more justice this year |

Taking into consideration the amount of Egyptian in her pedigree, I think Nebraska is more Egyptian looking than Russian, based on the stock bred at the same time as her, with the fabulous Russian movement. As Delyth said its all very close up. That of course is just my opinion.
I'm sure George that when she beds in and bonds with you, the closeness will come. These SR's just have the most fabulous temperaments and dig right into your heart |

Beautiful horses especially Delyth's and the lovely Nebraska, wonderful Russian lines. I used to have a broodmare called Jumah (by Russian - Div (Peleng, stunning mare almost perfect, now lives in Scotland with her new family. I still have her daughters Samauring (6 yrs by The Wiking) and Amyzing (5 yr by Concord), both racing this year.
Would love to see some more Russians on the UK racetrack. Star Valentina (Div x Pronika) won at Taunton in Sept 10 and was straight russian.

Here are a couple of my Russian related Arabs -
Aja Bint Estasha who is a Kubinec granddaughter through FS Bengali, and her daughter Taiysha who is by Om El Mareikh, who carries Russian through TR Magnita, a Nariadni daughter.
This is RV Prince Valiant (Veldon / Crown Princess)who carries Russian through his grandsire Cordon

Various others (eleven at last count) but the Russianist of all but sadly no longer with us SKANINA originally with Kerry Wilson who was by Nadejni out of Skala and full sister to Strelizia.
Although we didnot have her until her late teens she was fantastic and a super riding horse.We miss her loads. |

Lovely horses!
This is my boy Azure Bay, by Medalj, who i think is Russian related, no idea of percentages lol . He is 12 this year, ive had him 7 years now, time just flys!

Beautiful Horses everyone.
From what I can gather, my Zar has a fair amount of russian blood, don't ask me Percentages though as I'm rubbish at them, feel free to look for yourself (allbreed "Island Balthazar")
One of his grandsire's was famous stallion Komplekt, Bred by the Tersk stud. |

I imagine most people are a little bored of seeing my two Russian mares but here are a couple more!!
GAS Strelka (Monitor x Strelitzia) with her 2010 filly GAS Sofiya by Sambist
and
GAS Skala (Ventican x Strelitzia) as a pregnant 4yo (the black thing I'm holding is Spencer the cat!!)
whilst looking through photos I came across some of last years newborn babies, very sweet pics, and the babies are Russian too, so thought I'd share them-

Not sure what the future holds for the 'straight' russian with Tersk gone? I know I'm biased, but I think the Tersk bred horses just have that something special, looks and character 
Wonder if the russian programme follows on through other breeders? Oh I've just thought of a new thread!
