My 3 yr old PBA qualified for the AA PBA Wessex show at Newbury but I haven't purchased a qualifying card yet, does this mean we can't go? Or can i buy one now? New to showing and had no idea about them!x

The rules say no,unless you have the card in the ring and get it signed at the time of getting your rosette, but I suspect you aren't the only one with this problem as it is the first year. Why don't you PM Ziadomira on this site?
I discussed this situation with the championship show secretary earlier today.
It has been agreed that in this first year we will accept entries from exhibitors who don't have cards but would have qualified if they had. However there have to be some horses that cannot qualify in this way.
If you don't have a card and because of this another horse in the same category qualifies then you cannot qualify as well eve if you were placed higher. This is because only one horse in each category can qualify from one class.
The categories are Stallions. Mares, Senior Geldings, yearlings. two year olds, 3 year olds and foals. Horses must be in the first four.
The situation with the filly mentioned above is that even if she had held a card she would not have been able to qualify, as a 3 year old that was placed above her took the 3 year old qualifier. There was a 2 year old in the class that could have qualified but as far as I am aware they did not have a card. If they want to go to the Championship they will need to buy a card.
If anyone has missed qualiying because they did not have a card they should contact either me or Lynne Lidbury to see if they can qualify.
thankyou, so it is one 2 year old and one 3 year old even if there are 5 x 3 yrs olds placed at the top and one 2 yr old comes last? seems odd but ok thankyou!x
