Some stunning horses, fab pictures . I've just gone through this thread at speed looking for pictures of Vadeer. He is my boy, Ley Lader's, sire. Would love to see any pics of him if anyone has any. |

Hello Helen
I have one or two photos of Vadeer I took at Shadwell about 6 years ago, along with Bengali D'albret and Izentespezial, three lovely stallions. It was an honour to be amongst such fine and gentle animals. (I also took loads of piccies of the foals as they had just hatched).
I will have to scan them in as they were taken using a traditional camera so it might take a few days to find them and sort it out.
We love greys (and have three) but we also love our chestnuts, but when we see other horses its the greys we both like.
be patient I'll go hunting now... |

Hello everybody, I'm new here
What a wonderful topic! Fantastic all those pictures of the russian legends of the past & the present - it brings tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing!
Would like to introduce myself: I'm from Switzerland (with some Italian lines on the mothers side ), a long time enthusiast, breeder & rider of russian/russian related arabs, love these marvellous and powerful horses. We have offspring of Balaton, Gips, Pobeditel, Karat, Nikel, Versal, Kosmonaut, Dinar, Esplendor, Narym, Neman.
Hello Robbie, great to find you here on this forum! Your profound knowledge about the russian arabians/lines is so much appreciated. Since 1994 my husband & me are visiting the Kossack Stud and the Hartog Family every year - always spent a great and interestng time there. By the way Robbie: Love your fabulous Abapana (Marcipan x Abakana) so much - superb horse & superb lines!
Hello to Great Britain! It's great to see so many beautiful russian arabs in your country, I could admire some of them a the Tersk Holland Sale. We are also members of the Brit. Arab Horse Society since several years, maybe we will meet some of you at Malvern this year? Would be great!
Greetings from Switzerland Ivana |

Hello Ivana and welcome to ArabianLines
It is always a great pleasure to 'meet' other people who are just as enthustiastic as oneself about these gorgeous horses
Won't you show us some of your treasures? It sounds as if you have collected a magnificent group of Russian beauties. If you don't know how to post pictures I'd be happy to guide you or do it for you.
Anne

Ivana,
You can email me on annefinnerup@yahoo.com -you can either send me the photos or try your luck with the following method.
The first thing you do is to open an account at flickr.com - this should be straight forward You then choose the upload option which either appears in a box or you can find it in the 'You' drop-down menu. You then click on choose photos and select the pics from your pc, then you click 'upload' and after that you may or may not want to describe the photos you just uploaded.
When the pics have been uploaded, you click on the one you wish to post here on ALines - click again on 'all sizes'. You now have the choice of selecting which size you want to post, but you don't have to give it much thought, because ALines will resize the bigger photos for you so that they fit the screen. I usually select either the medium or the large option. You now scroll down below the photo and there are two boxes filled with code. The second of them - and the shortest - is the url-address of the photo and it is this adddress that you need to copy. Make sure you copy the entire link. Now open another browser and go to the ArabianLines website, go to the Discussion forum, and select the topic (Russian Arabs). Now click on 'reply to topic'. The box which then appears has a row of grey square icons above the text 'field' and the third from the right (with a yellow square on it) is the 'insert image' icon. Click on this and the following will appear [ img][ /img] (I have inserted extra spaces so the computer will show the code.) You now paste the url address from flickr in between the two 'bracket units'. It should look like this url-address but without any spaces. Now click on Preview and you should be able to see the pic. If you can, then click on Post New Reply - if you can't, either try again or send the pics to me
Good luck
Anne |

Hi Helen,
I have found two photos of Vadeer from April 2002. My photos are all on Photobucket.com (search for sabinelenny and look at the ablum where you can see his two neighbours at the time, Bengali D'Albret and Izentespeshal. I would post their pictures here but they don't qualify - not Russians).
I must confess to a tiny cheat on my signature as the grey is Russian/Polish, and speaks German, how cool is that (Really, she doesn't speak anything but horse talk, (not like Mr Ed), but she does understand German commands and English ones)

If you want more pictures or information on Vadeer try searching on Google - try (Vadeer arabian shadwell) - you may have done this before of course, but you will get some nice links for him, and a lot of other quality racing blood.
Hope you enjoy the pictures

Hi Judith. Nebraska is probably one of the last daughters of the very last daughters of Kilimandscharo who is famous as he feature strongly in Padrons Psyche pedigree. She is a typical big Russian mover and as she was bred by Karl Heinz Stoeckle and as he is a very good friend, we asked his opinion on what we should breed her to and he recommended that we breed her to something with Padrons Psyche in the pedigree. We have tried to get her in foal to Psynergy for the Balenina connection but that wasn't meant to be so this year we are trying something different...we'll let you know.... |
