This thread is becoming what it should be - showing our wonderful "straight" Russian horses and how well they cross with any other bloodline - giving that "VERY SPECIAL" something - able to prove to the horse fraternity that they compete in ANY discipline

Alistair and Jane my apologies for not uploading your photos until tonight - Saturday is a VERY busy day here

I must also say WATCH THIS SPACE My dear friend Robbie has sent me LOTS of photos to upload and show the world what wonderful horses TERSK have produced. Please be patient with me - just hope my site will hold them all

I hope Roseanne won't mind me posting this but when I saw the pics of Lalique it's such a coincidence as I happened to take a few shots of Roseanne's G Lanzelot by Andrus x Lalique this very afternoon! He's in his winter woolies and a bit muddy as it was an unplanned photo opportunity, but he still looks lovely enjoying the sun on his back. I think he looks just like his mum

Po's grandsires/dams are:-

Naftalin x Karinka (sire's side)

Nabeg x Polnoch (dam's side)

Does anyone have any pics of these horses, except for those already on All breeds. I would particularly like to see any pics of Polnoch as the only one I've seen of her Po looks so like her

This is Polnoch, sorry it's not good quality, another reason I'd like to see more if poss, but that I swear could be Polianka in that pic! And look at the size of the herds at Tersk!

Fee

PS I would like to see any pics of her grand dams or grand sires, thanks!

Fee the only other photo I can find of Polnoch at the moment is this one - I know it says Polnocha but think its a misprint. Hope it helps.

Sasha the space under the photos is because you have pressed enter methinks - still looks ok and defines the pic methinks

Before I retire for the night, I must post this photo of BORODINA (Piligrim x Molvina). Borodina is the MOST wonderful mare and I had the great pleasure of seeing her at Kossack. Her pedigree contains some of the very best horses of Tersk, she is by one of my favourite stallions Piligrim (SU) and out of a fantastic dam line.

Now you know why I love Basra so much

Just found this fabulous thread!
I am also a huge fan of Russian Arabians and breed straight Russians in Canada.

Looking forward to seeing more of the pictures from Robbie at Kossack! We were lucky enough in 2005 to acquire an older Mag son bred at Kossack and imported to the US as a yearling. He has meant everything to our program! We also have four straight Russian mares (five if you count our coming two-year-old), co-own three and are leasing five more. As you can see we are quite fond of the Russian breeding!

How interesting to see the pictures of Morjak, we had his maternal half-brother Meksiko from late 2005 until his death last summer. Can definitely see the resemblance between the two sons of Mexicanka. Unfortunately Meksiko came to us with what we suspect was cancer, he deteriorated until he had to be put down and we didn't get any foals from him.

Neposeda also plays a very important role in our program through her daughters Nefisa, Natursh itsa, Nariadnaia and Nemezida.

Hope you will indulge me in sharing pictures of a few of our straight Russians!

My youngster has a lot of Russian blood, his dam is Monosterra (Monitor x Zaneta). There are quite a lot of shots of his family on All Breeds which is lovely to see. Monitor's grandmother Monogramma set a Russian speed record over 1500m as a 2 year old and watching Merlyn race up the field at times, I can see where he gets his turn of speed from! I have photos of his mum that I can post if anyone is interested.
