Looking for information on an Arab Gelding by Elite. Approx 8-10 yrs old. Bought as a roan chestnut but since turned grey, by a Mr John Tully of Durham. Possibly purchased in Yorkshire.
This is a list of all males (foaled after 1994) by Elite: - there are none after 1995 (not that are registered on the data source anyway!)

I this horse is possible El Sabu , I had him for training as a colt and very much like his brother Cas Sabur he was very difficult . I stil have a wrecked stable to prove it . He was gelded because of his temp and I was informed that he grew into a very nice horse not sure what his temp is like , He did have a very nice head !! Thats if its him ??
Thanks for the help, the horse I was after was Grey Comet but we weren't sure if that was his "proper" name or if John had just called him that as his other horse is Blue Meteor.
I was enquiring for a friend so I will now let het know.
any horse bred by harry must carry his prefix even if sold before weaning or registration. our stallion cas silver phoenix was bought by us at 8 weeks old with his mum. it was part of the contract of sale that while we could choose his name we had to include the prefix.
as for sabu, we saw him at harry's when we got sunny. he was due to come to us but harry was offered a sale. he was then shown at the ngahs show, offered for loan or sale as a stallion but then gelded and sold. no-one seems to have heard of him since.
if he was bred by harry then try contacting him, if not do so anyway as although elite was sold he remained on harry's yard for years (don't now if he is still there) so harry may know the mares that he covered.
