Hi everyone. apologies this is not advertising i Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Kate, not only for allowing me to use her boy, whom in my humble opinion has something for everyone, fantastic temperent, wonderful conformation, beautiful straight movement. Height and beauty, but mostly i want to thank her for been so kind and caring throughout everything. I am a first time breeder, the foal was to be a present from my dad whom was very ill and has sadly since died, as a reminder to him, as well as another piece of my wonderful kind hearted mare, who has always been upmost in my priorities. I drove many miles to see this boy, to be met by Kate and the yard manager, the first thing that struck me was my much this stallion was loved and cared for, but equally how much thought had been put into the covering element. excellent facilities for natural and chilled from a qualified person, to frozen at Twemlows. I did contact twemlows who confirmed the excellent quality of the semen, which was echoed by my vet on insemination. (17 year old maiden who caught straight away, as have all others i believe ) The service i recieved was second to none and Amber has produced a wonderful filly who in my humble opinion is perfect:), she has a temperment to die for. She has a lovely little face with a wide forehead, wide set eyes and a teeny muzzle, and she can move like stink, who could ask for more. Kate has kept in touch throughout, checking on progress, scans, birth and general updates. So a huge thank you to Kate for been so fair, kind and understanding, and been so helpful to me throughout the entire thing. Thanks Kate, your one of a kind and i hope to see you soon. Sarah.

I have read on another forum that Tobago has been backed. I cannot wait to see him under saddle... Come on Kate... Photographs please.
A friend of mine has a foal due to him next year, so looking forward to seeing a Tobago baby in the flesh.

I have to agree Sarah. Kate is definitely one of the most genuine, caring lady you could ever wish to meet. Also her love for Tobago knows no bounds and his welfare is always her priority. I too eagerly await his appearance under saddle, I am positive he won't disappoint in any discipline Kate chooses for him.

It's going to be one heck of a produce class at Malvern next year!!!
Talk about cloning Tamarillo, why bother when Tobago has mastered the technique all on his own!!!
Kate is a very special person xx |

I have to say I dont know Kate in person but have read posts by her and she comes across so warm and caring, you can pick up the vibes of complete adoration for her boy from miles off, and he is simply stunning. Sarah, what a lovely thing to post, I'm sorry to hear about your father but what a tremendous gift, your filly sounds gorgeous! If you have any pictures, I'm sure we would all love to see her? Oh gosh Sarah I'm sitting here crying - what a very, very sweet, kind thing to do! And all the other lovely comments - thank you everyone! I am rather speechless, which doesn't happen very often, as you know!
Hang on a minute while I pull myself together and stop blubbing into my keyboard...
...(about 20 minutes later)...OK, sorry, got a bit over-emotional there.
I haven't really been on here much for a while, except to post the occasional congratulations when people have done well and so on. I got worried that people were fed up with hearing about Tobago and his babies all the time, so I sort of put myself on the 'naughty step' for a while - a kind of self-imposed exile. That's why I didn't even post the latest photos of him, or post about him being started under saddle.
But Sarah's post and the other very kind comments have reminded me how many lovely friends Tobago and I have on here - thank you all very much indeed - so maybe I'll start posting just a little bit of Tobago-news again!
But first, here are a few pics of Sarah's lovely filly 'Jamaica':

I can't wait to see her out and about next year! Thank you again Sarah - I really needed a cheer-up today and this was a lovely surprise! |

No photos of him under saddle yet - unfortunately I haven't been well enough to go and watch him being ridden - but I have a few new 'glamour' pics if anyone would like to see them? |

Oh Kate, PLEASE post away! There are many of us on here who love to hear about your lovely boy, how he's doing and his unbelievably superb babies (i remember seeing pictures of your filly sarah and thinking how lovely she is ). As far as i'm concerned if the horse world were as proud and loving of their horses as you, it would be a better place. Sarah, you are one lucky lady |

what an amazing testimony. everyone who knows me knows that i have full intention of eventually putting my mare in foal again at some point. i have seriously thought about tobago as i think he would compliment my mare. seeing his off spring only adds to my decision.

Oh wow Sarah & Kate you both must be so proud.
The pics are just stunning-what a mover this baby is.
I think Sarah, that it looks like you may have a lot of fun & success with this lady, and from your initial thread you thoroughly deserve it.
Kate, please do get in touch when you have a spare mo.
