This is really dreadful to read. I am so sorry for your loss, not only of your mare, but your future foal.
Here's hoping that all will turn out well for you in the end.
Our thoughts are with you.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, the remaining horses seem slightly improved today and all are eating, no new cases so far, fingers crossed, Mandy. |

Hello everyone, just to update you everyone is improving, we have given antibiotics to all the remaining horses and they are all much better, two partcularly have lost lots of weight but its the right time of year for gaining weight, the farmer is being really nasty but I shall leave solicitor to deal with him,he has removed his horses and I have put an electric fence along the top of the field, thanks for all your kind thoughts its good to know other people are supporting you in times of stress, Mandy. |

so sorry about the loss of your mare Mandy! Glad to hear the other's are improving. I can imagine what terrible things you'd like to do to the farmer! You sound pretty upbeat considering, stay brave! Nikkixx |

Hi Mandy,
Good to hear the rest are all on the mend. I hope you have a good solicitor and the farmer gets what he deserves, although nothing will make up for the heartache loss of your lovely mare and the unnecessary suffering of your other animals.
Take care Love Sandie |

Hi everyone, just another update, everyone has recovered, one mare is still breathing a little more heavily than usual, the mare that was lost is still really missed but I have found a younger full sister to buy, she is in poor condition and is 3 years old (from a local breeder) and is in foal to her dad whom she lives with in a herd, she has never been wormed or vaccinated, she is very sweet, she will not replace Angel in our hearts but will replace her in our breeding programme, she is by O'Tejo (Obeyda/Rezah's Nadine) who we bred ourselves, out of Montino's Miracle (Ibn Montino/ Jael) I will be collecting her as soon as we have 3 negative swabs, can't wait to get her home, I have already wormed her and she looks a little better, she doesn't even have a name yet as she has yet to be registered, thanks for all your good wishes, Mandy. |
