Yes it does look beautiful, really enjoying seeing all the landmarks. Shame about Mark Cavenish's fall - hope all the riders are OK. Chris Froome did well didn't he.
Feel for Cavendish, it's a brutal sport and I am no expert but just split second too late in his challenge and disaster. Will be more tolerant of the wannabee Cavs as they wiz past my thankfully cycle proof Arab at great speed on a narrow brideway lol.
I think its great this country is becoming more sporty and supporting sports other than football. Its inspirational to see and cycling is something everyone can do and enjoy. Im also looking forward to the common wealth games in glasgow...just half an hour from me.
It is great that we are becoming more sporty in the country but I just wish the British media would stop this continual hatred against anyone who makes a mistake and doesn't win just once. It spoils so much for us real fans of sport.
I so agree it was scary at times, but that is down to management of the event to keep it safe so lessons to be learnt. Anyways just wanted to highlight the positives of a gorgeous Yorkshire and the responsible members of the crowd that so enjoyed.
I for one thoroughly enjoyed this. it was great to see 2 and a half million (not thousands Goldenmane)spectators even if they did get a bit close at times. The coverage around bradfield was especially interesting to me as I used to ride there. Happy memories.
