Not sure where to put this, but thought I should say a quick hello as it is so long since I've been on here, I thought if I just started commenting randomly on things you might all wonder who I am.
Still up on the Black Isle. Still breeding our lovely Arabs & Part bred Arabs & apart from a slight blip on the radar last year, still having lots of fun.
Looking forward to catching up on everyones Araby news. Xx

Welcome back; how did you manage to stay away?
"Still up on the Black Isle"; where on earth is that! Sounds like Scotland.

Hello, lovely horses. Wow your bay is so very like my lad it would be a real coincidence if they aren't related. He's GB Arizona Bey on Allbreedpedigree. Welcome back |

Hi Trinity, he was kicked in the field by my Sect A (aka Pedigree Chum from now on!). In fairness not small ponys fault really, have since found out two sets of neighbours had been feeding them over the fence.....
Result was enormous haematoma in suspensory ligament and associated non-displaced fracture of the medial splint. Its the suspensory that's taking the time obviously but the ultrasound from Friday showed only a small amount of haematoma left at the button of the splint and only a small amount of oedema left around the outside of the suspensory. :) Suspensory was never torn so vet hopeful for 100% recovery in time. :) Only 10 days left of taking my life in my hands walking him in hand twice daily then he is off box rest and onto field rest for 4 weeks.
Vets have an evil sadistic sense of humour - walk gently in hand for 15 mins twice daily - seriously??? A 7 year old gelding in spring after 8 weeks box rest? I don't think so! Luckily my boy is very well mannered but it all gets too much for even him at times! |

Oh gosh, I feel for you & him Ali. Our lovely Zara put her leg through a fence in Nov 2012 partially degloving her canon bone and damaging tendons. We are just starting out, yet again on the walking out in hand route. Have started a couple of times, but leg was not ready & was up like a balloon. Fingers crossed we can persevere this time & hopefully, hopefully get her back under saddle in next couple of times. Time & patience are great healers. Hope your boy continues to make a good recovery. |

Ari, the bay in the bottom picture (part bred) has some lines the same as your boy. Tried looking for a picture of your boy, as I wasn't sure which of the bays you meant. |

Hi Beck, it's the bay in the middle pic that looks so like Ari so must just be coincidence. I use the Ipad but unlike you have not mastered pictures. |
