My cat likes to lick plastic bags! He also insists on being present in the bathroom when my OH goes for his number 2, if he shuts the door Diesel gets stressed and lays down leaning against the door howling and scratching at it. Oh and he doesn't like remote controls left on the arm of the sofa he just jumps up and pushes it off.

Does anyone else have a cat that has strange habits?

Strange cat stories will be flooding any any moment.

To start us off, I had a siamese called Tarot who would sit on my knee amnd suck my jumper. My present favourite Mi Mi will always accompany me to the loo.

My cat dips her paw in her water bowl before she has a drink. She is terrified of birds, never makes any noise whatsoever but loves any kind of cartoons on the TV and will sit glued for hours!

Loving all the anecdotes! My cats are all spectacularly normal, I'm afraid.

Our big cat who adopted us from next door, isn't too keen on loud music and will leave the room if rock music is played but stays put with classic but got very upset when the famous opening bars of Beethoven V came on! he also licks the furniture!

My half Siamese 'Ra' comes running whenever I sing, he obviously thinks I'm in pain lol, he also furiously tells the dog off at tea time if he dares to get in front of him, and sets up an awful yowling.....

Our cat used to chase dogs and foxes (and they all ran away from him, even an Akita), drink sherry, and loved tomato ketchup and peas (not necessarily together).

I find it strange that I'm not a cat person, but everytime my tabby cat dies (this has been going on for over 30 years) I am immediately sourced by another tabby cat!! That's why my cat is called Spooky.

Omg! So there are many strange cats out there! I lost my little William in October )/:. His strange thing was that he would sit & watch me when I shower! Must say though the recurring ginger cat is definitely spooky lol

Cats are amazing never been withought at least 2. Some have found me or I have got them from rescues. Ginger Fred , very healthy adult came through the cat flap and braved 2 Staffie's to move in with me. Yes they were cat friendly but how did he know, and why choose me. He never wandered again and died at home 14 yrs + how old he was when he arrived.
The two I have now are brother and sister but very different, she is a hunter but loves me and her brother is a lazy big cat who is emotionally attached to my dog. Sibling cats are a joy as mine do love each other and both snuggle my dog.
Dog is a terrier and won't have a strange cat in his garden.

Another one of ours was obsessed by anyone being in the bath. He used to sit at the end and dangle his fluffy tail in the water and try to play with your feet. I miss him a lot,

Our Spike can open the fridge, the bread bin, the kitchen bit and even the cooker. The fridge now has a lock on it, but that still doesn't stop the little sod - found that he'd somehow got in last night and eaten HALF of the trout that was for tea. But we love him really

Clever Spike Keren, i hope he enjoyed his trout at least he was knid enough to leave you half one of our cats spends her days going round opening all the door that she can, we go round shutting them and she opens them again, a lot of our doors have a latch to shut them so she finds them really easy to open, the ones with handles on she cannot open, she also opens the door to my walkin wardrobe and pulls things from the shelves, never dose it to my OH,s one just mine. She loves her daddy and will have nothing to do with me unless hes away then shes very two faced and likes me, hes going golfing to Malaga tomorrow so she will be my best buddy till he comes home then will hate me again, cats eh. She also like to go to the loo with you and sits on your towels while your in the bath, our other cat Thomas is very normal and is a good boy.
