Hi there - I just wanted to say welcome! You'll love it here!
I did my first real pleasure ride with my youngster the other week, and it really is such a buzz. I imagine our speed was rather a lot less though! |

It's fab isn't it! The Tank and I did our first a few weeks ago and we are hoping to do next one on Sunday (Tebay). If he goes in the wagon, that is. Everyone so friendly at these rides. I grinned like an total idiot for the whole time and babbled on to anyone unlucky enough to make eye-contact with me!!! |

Well done you (and welcome to AL!). Glad you had a great ride. Be warned though - endurance is very addictive. I did my first graded ride in March 2006 (only 14 months ago) - we're now heading towards our first 80km ride - 5 weeks away.... not that I'm counting....... |

Well done, I used to live up in your neck of the woods ( maaaany years ago) and admire you for riding in the weather you get. I live down in Somerset now but remember feeling the north east wind cutting me in half on lots of rides, many months of the year. I,m a softy now, luckily so is one of my arabs ! Good luck and you may want to look on EGB site , youll get heaps of tips and advice there, maybe we will see you at a ride down here one day ( we do horse B&B, special rates for arabs !!)Polly |
