Posted - 16 May 2011 : 7:04:23 PM Hi All,
If you are an owner of 1 (or more) of the Marbon Arabian's please post a pic up :-)
I am a friend of Diane's and think it would be lovely to dedicate a thread to her as she has made the brave decision to sell all of her horses and retire.
I too would love to see recent pics of the foals I met years ago and to hear how they are all getting on.
Also if they have been used to breed it would be lovely to see the descendants.
Look forward to seeing and hearing all about your beautiful horses :-)
Regards,
Sarah x |

Posted - 17 Sep 2012 : 4:26:15 PM Wow Kaz, hasn't Masta grown - he looks more like a 2yo than a yearling! Have you measured him lately? |

Posted - 10 Sep 2012 : 9:21:17 PM Thanks Ruth and yes he is huge, especially when comparing him with my past high % Crabbets that i have owned. My first was bought from Daphne Cocksedge at Romac Stud 34yrs ago. Bint Nia, Filly Foal, was by Marino Marini out of Nia Ben Hur. She was a pretty chestnut filly 14.3HH and fast as a Ferrari. Bint Nia, raced with John Elliot and was then sold to Oman. In 1989 i bought another High % Crabbet Filly Foal from Daphne Cocksedge, Nia Shadow, by Idris out of Tashara, although only 14.31/2HH this mare was amazing, she loved to jump, 1m 10 and only that height because i wasn't brave enough to jump bigger tracks !!! Loved Dressage and we were coached by Liz Lawrence (who incidentally bought 2 of her 4 foals). Cross Country, what can i say, careful and looked after me every competition. Brave, Loyal, great brood mare, bombproof in traffic, just one in a million. Also a premium Mare. If Masta turns out to be anything like either Nia, i will be so happy !!! |

Posted - 10 Sep 2012 : 12:22:30 PM He is really starting to fill out what a lovely boy!! And obviously a lovely fellow to be around, its good that he helps with jobs, though I'm sure he struggles to see the point of the lawn mower! My friends at Spirit Arabians have put my mare Perdy in foal to Marbon Masadi.. I do wonder how laid back this new foal will be!! |

Posted - 02 Jun 2012 : 8:52:14 PM I have Marbon Melissa's first foal- Lightning Golden Fire he is by mista beaujangles. My mum bought him for me when he was a yearling ( I was 12) and he is now 16. We competed mainly in endurance but we do everything. I can't imagine life with out him. He has been with me since I was a child and now I am a married woman. I never met the lady who bred Melissa but I would certainly like her to know how grateful I am for my best friend http://m.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/emma.tolliday.7?v=photos&cps&album=a.8318876756.25791.567786756&__user=567786756 |
