Hello,

I am Sabine from Germany (so please excuse my bad english writing - I am better in talking!)

Here in Germany we have less than 100 Anglo`s registered together in two Arab Registries.

I call one mare and her 2010 born filly my own.

Each year, we have less and less opportunies to enter a halter show class.
Eather they do not offer classes for us, or the classes getting cancelled as only one or two people have entered.

Even at the Nationals we had no Anglo halter Show Class offered the last couple of years (but ridden classes are still offered)

The anglo seems to be a "dying breed" her in Germany as even Warmblood breeders prefer the TB.

Compered to Germany, I would like to know how it is in England ?

Anyone who can say an approximatly nummer auf Anglos registered in England (do you have more than one Arab Horse registry ?)

Who keeps on breeding them (pics are wellcome!!)

Which breedings do you prefer - and why:

purebred x TB
purebred x Anglo
Anglo x TB

(Here in Germany we also use the Shagya Arabian but I know that in England, France, America and Australia these "Anglos" would be registered as partbreds only)

What are your main shows, where Anglos will be shown in Halter and Ridden classes ?

How many competitors joining ?

Thanks in advance !

Sabine

Merry Christmas to You !

Here in Germany we are drowning in snow !
Can not think of seeing so much snow in my area.

Driving is a big adventure. Parks are closes as trees are coming down due to the weight of the snow.

Only the horses - they are enjoying the snow.

Wish you all lots of pretty x-mas pressies.

Update

For the 2nd time this year we are in the german arabian horse magazine "Araber Weltweit".

Foto taken by Betty Finke

We are now turning into a small fluffy something.

I hate winter.

Let`s wait and see how much he grows in the future

With 6 month, mine measures 1,34 m

I`ll keep on fingers crossed for your wanted filly in 2012 !

Hi Sabine....Super filly, outstanding paces and very feminine. Congratulations on your Championship success, bet you are so proud of her

No foal here this year for us and cant wait until April 2011, hopefully for a filly, who will be a full blood sibling to our 2009 boy below...Sunray Showtime and aptly named we think

Sire is our Sunray Saristocrat (Anglo) and Dam is Thoroughbred Sunray Sheer Delight. He is huge, topping 158cm at sixteen months old. Has the looks to make top ridden Show Horse and may go on to be an Eventer
He has super paces and fab temperament

Great photos Sabine, she really is a super filly, with a lovely head.

It seems, that the pics a girl took got lost

All I have are some stupid pics I did at home after the show

****

Home 3 weeks ago:

"Yuck - I HATE water"

"I`d better get out of here before I drown"

"As long as I can run around the muddle, I will do that"

And that`s what we tried yesterday! I was just testing her, what she would do

Hi

She is by PR.Fairlyn Gemini AA out of PR.Lady Arabella AA

She also has full pink trakehner papers, as both her parents graded into the main stud book of the TBF.

Gemini is the only AA stallion graded into the main stud book in this country and Arabella is one of only two AA mares to grade in to the main stud book.

The filly is sold at weaning as a dressage prospect

Well done with your filly you must be very proud of her

@ NN

Maybe u mentioned it before - I just can`t remember.

What was her breeding again and did you sell her?

She looks like a filly that can move!

***

Well, I got back from an Arab Horse Show a couple of hours ago.

Been there yesterday and today.

My filly won her class in the Partbred Section.

She got Reserve Champion in the Championship.

Not that many Championships we are having here in Germany for Partbreds. Often just one class, all partbreds, all ages together in one class.

Today we had an (how would you call it ?) award class for foals.
If they earn this reward, this title will be registered into the horses paper as "premium foal".

My little girl got that title.

And later that day, she was rewarded "Best Foal of the Show"

Yes, I am happy today !

Pics will follow

My filly is in that "funny looking growing stage"

She`s got her branding last week and got registered.

I am planing showing her in two weeks. Hopefully she has grown together by then - only for these two days !

I need to get fresh photos of Milly (Vlacq Jameelah), but here she is being nosey

And her big sister Izzy (Vlacq Irresistible) who has grown yet again - this filly loves to listen to the radio, she asks for it to be put on!

Sabine K Posted - 26 Jul 2010 : 7:07:35 PM
Looking forward to your pics justme !

All the others, good luck for the next breeding season.

Well, for me, this will be the first and last foal I have ever bred as I am just standing in a rented stable, no own property etc. etc.

Just hoping that I can continue with her in the future (also in halter classes).

But, no more foals for me in the future.........
Justme123 Posted - 26 Jul 2010 : 12:33:01 PM
Sabine - your foals are beautiful.

I to have a stunning Anglo Arab yearling filly by Sunray Saristocrat out of Wrenthorpe Ballerina.

I will try and post some pics later, she is growing up to be a truely stunning young lady and such a lovely person.
:-)

Thanks Babs. She is of to a superb home at weaning. Her marks were not that great but the judge came and spoke to me to explain why.She thought we had fetched her in a growing spell and that she looked a little tight over her back!!

No foal for Bella next year

Two lots of frozen and no pregnancy.

She will have the winter off and we will start again in the spring.
I have retained her FG two year old filly just in case!
