From riding ponies as a child, Lee had always loved the Arabian horse, she was fascinated with them and always watched them being exhibited at shows. It was always a dream to one day have her own.

This dream became a reality after returning home from three years travelling around the world to form Euralea Arabians in New Zealand. Situated on the fertile Taieri plains of Dunedin this stud is run alongside work commitments and as such only breeds two or three foals each year. The stud concentrates on breeding horses suitable both as ridden and in hand prospects.

The queen of Euralea is the beautiful Yanah Ibn Estopa (Ibn Estopa x Yemanah) bred by Om El Arab. She has had an extremely successful show career being named NZ National Champion mare in 1999. At this same show her colt foal (By Wind N Fire) at just 6 weeks of age was named NZ National Champion Junior by Peter Upton.

Redwood Lodge Estonia (Om El Abadan x Windella Silver Fire) was purchased as a weanling from Redwood Lodge Stud in Australia. Her show career has been a dream. Estonia is a NZ National Champion both as a junior and a senior. Estonia is only rising seven and priorities have shifted her into the broodmare paddock. She has produced two foals thus far, a colt and a filly.

Euralea Espania Bint Yanah (Priority x Yanah Ibn Estopa) was bred in Australia and imported in utero. This alluring dark grey mare is soon to embark on her own show career. She was briefly shown to claim the title of NZ Futurity Champion as a two year old.

Euralea does not stand their own stallion, they send their mares out and are now using a young stallion they bred, Euralea Light My Fire is a double NZ National Champion and he is rising four this season. His full sister Euralea Fire N Desire has been retained as a future broodmare.

A new addition last year saw Taralea Kalena (Fairview Shakla’s Kaliph x Taralea Amiriah) join this illustrious group. Kalena was bred by Taralea Arabians in Christchurch. Kalena certainly stands out being the only bay amongst a paddock of greys. She is very exotic and introduces another female line to the stud. Her show ring debut saw her sashed NZ National Reserve Champion filly in 2002.
