I have just purchased a partbred (arab x cob!)coloured (blue/white) pony who is a registered part bred by Sunlea Cervantes. Any info about this sire would be good. We bought him from some people near Salisbury but was bred by Mr Gebbie.
Sunlea Cervantes was a grey stallion born in 1983 by Procyon out Sunlea Golden Hannella (who as I think by Ben Rabba). He was bred by Angela Parker or Sunlea Arabians, Philpot Lane, Chobham, Surrey.
I think she is still there and will endeavour to find out more about this horse.
Hi There Just seen this thread. One of my international endurance horses is by Sunlea Cervantes he is called Jake V and is a unregistered anglo (I wish he was registered) he is a great horse and has a fantastic temperment but wasn't like this when i bought him he was very mixed up and unridable, now the kids all ride/compete him he is 16.1hh and the kids are 12/13. I have piccies of him if you want to see them My email is Kirstywiscombe@aol.com email me if you want to know more Kirsty
My sister (Sue Little) and I owned Sunlea Cervantes, we purchased him together with his dam Sunlea Golden Hannah. I chose his name - Cervantes. As we had known Angela Parker for many years she said that as long as we used her prefix we could choose the rest of his name. We sold him as a yearling to Chris Breach of Ambassadors Arabian Stud at Copthorne in Sussex and he was sold on to someone in the New Forest. Vante had a lovely nature with huge eyes and he moved well. It's nice to hear that he has produced useful/workmanlike stock, especially as his dam Sunlea Golden Hannah was one of our foundation mares.
Sunlea Cervantes was out of Sunlea Golden Hannah who was by Hanif out of Indian Golddust. Sunlea Golden Hannella was infact Cervantes half sister and was sired by Ben Rabba.
