Ooops sorry Liz, I was referring to your mare - I knew the stallion's name began with a K She looked fab and has such a pretty head.
Oh yes, congratulations Louisa - Erald looked fantastic.

That's ok Lauren. Yes, Molly does have a lovely head...but her younger (full) sister is going to be a stunner, in due time! These Polish girls take a while to come into their own and it is now Molly's time.

I had an interesting day today . Ettie did Sands Farm in Autumn but hasn't really done any other showing shows (she has done lots of jumping) so when we went into the indoor at Ardingly she went a bit crazy. If anyone watched the Small riding horse and amatuer rider classes I was the person barely able to control my horse (a little bay) - we got placed last both times (and rightly so!) and I withdrew from the novice part-bred as she was getting more and more worked up...however the judge was really good and rode her (even though I would have been tempted to refuse if I was the judge!). So I think i'll put today down to experience - hopefully she will be better with the summer show as will be outside
Well done everyone and well done sazzlepants for running the whole way - have fun at your dressage tomorrow! |
 RIP Ettie 2003 - 2010 |

Liz and Lauren, Molly did us all proud today, she is a beautiful mare and i'm honoured to have the opportunity to produce and show her Thank you. Congratulations to everyone else who achieved what they hoped to today, it was, as always, a lovely show so also a huge thank you the organisers for all their hard work Alethea Aristotle Arabians ********** |

Ibn Al Antoon won the Crabbet in hand class and was 3rd in open ridden stallion- his first time out of novices. He was such a good boy.

I had a great day yesterday, my first time out on Erik and Ive owned him 2 1/2 years and we came 3rd in the novice ridden!! Considering I was only going to warm up and had to be coersed into the ring by the couple that do my transport and then i made them lead me in it all seems like a dream! Time to buy myself a decent set of show gear now i know i can do it!!
Lauren - i dont think there's anyone left on this planet that I havent phoned to scream my news down the phone at!!!!
Does anyone know who the photographer was? |

Congratulations Nadia with Erik, I'm so sorry I missed him, where are you taking him next?
Also many congratulations to Julie and Els, 1st and Champion. This is a stallion that can and has done it all, showjump, cross country, you name it he can do it. Ridden ring next, perhaps!!
Another well done to Hannah and Esteban ibn Narismma 1st Amateur Handler.
Well done to everyone and a great show.

Hi - I think the photographer was www.horsesnips.com, although they haven't loaded any on their website yet. Go to their homepage and click on the 'S' link.... There are a few pictures on the SE website www.seahg.co.uk

Hi,
Thank you to the organisers too!
I would also like to congratulate V Court riding Ribi Estopa on her two wins and hope she looks on this forum. I wish I'd known you were there because we have your mare's mum and I would have loved to have met you and your horse. Have just seen her in the pics and she looks super and kind. I was competing your mare's half sister and we rather disgraced ourselves and disrupted the class due to her exuberance - for which I would like to apologise to the other competitors ! Please let me know if you would like some pics of your mare's mum and half sister - I would be very happy to send them to you.
xx Peg |

Any show jumping team members for Malvern for SEAHG would be gratefully accepted! We always struggle to get together a jumping team. Any SE members who want to be in the jumping team should PM Gerald please. Thanks!

well obviously i was outside the ring but i heard lotes of comments about some of the larger horses last year were in the large riding horse class. 3 in particular looked massive! do you have to get height certificates yearly like show jumping ponies? Does the steward check as they come in? would it be viable to do so? just curious as there isnt alot written on it? i would have said my biggest horse was 15.1 15.2 and IMO (which is just that an opinion) would be dwarfed by some of the horses the small ones looked tiny in comparison. |

Hi Peg
I was really pleased with Ribi Estopa, Charlie. It was only his 3rd ridden show. I would love to see some pictures of Ku Ribi and his sister. I will pm you my email address. You are quite welcome to come and see Charlie, we are only 15 mins away from you.
Thanks to the organisers of the show, we had a great day.
