Thought I'd start a new topic
So, who's going to be there?
I'm taking Angel and hoping to do the 30km CR on Sunday but if my mum decides to join me then I'll have to drop down to the 20 PR .
I've got to put my ambitions on hold for a couple of years as Angel has made it perfectly clear that she is not going to even think about doing anything over 40km and Rio is only nearly 4 so its short CR's and Pleasure Rides for us this year and until Rio gets his Endurance legs

Hi Philip Good luck to you although I'm sure you won't need it with your lovely grey who looks more than capable of doing the job - looked very impressive last week end at Hopwas. Is it your first 160km? Rachel |

Thankfully I will be tapering down my running then for the London marathon!! Bit worried about when i am doing 64km at Major Oak as will need to do a 18 mile training run the day before!!! Think I might be a bit knackered by the Monday! |

Starting to get excited now
Angel was on sparkling form on Wednesday (sorry to Jess & Imran who was behaving very well in the face of such provocation )so fingers crossed for a good time. If only she was so enthusiastic about one-time changes DURING a dressage test or even when ASKED to do them . Mustn't complain too loudly though as she's been feeling not quite right for ages and then had a bout of colic and didn't eat for 2 days - unheard of behaviour for a horse who's nickname is Anthea cos she always hoovering up
Its going to be a very busy weekend for The A Team - I'm crewing for Angela & Haj on Saturday so if anyone sees me give me a wave on your way past. I'll be in a little blue R-reg Citreon and looking very jealous as you go by

Hi Folks, Good to hear from you, Got you PM Rachel, nice civalised time 9.15am. What distance is the first circuit??. Pity I din't read the message yesterday as I could have posted ours S to you..too late now, hope to be there but if your stuck borrow one off Steve from Performance Equ., if he's there or any of the others no problem, thats what they're for. I see Abi & Jackie Locket are also entered so ask them too. Saw them at the weekend with there young mare, related to Zaranz, on her second outing..looks very nice and seemed to be realy level headed, lets hope she's a chip off the ol' block..Bonanza that is. Yes please bring the tin back.
Hi Kirsty I'm so pleased to hear your riding on Saturday, I do hope your feeling better and that they've sorted you out, very nasty not been able to eat my cake, well you can give it a go, as I've been baking today, were've all gone on the lemon recipe, I think I might be getting sick of it now though. Look forward to seeing you and the rest of the gang.
I see six of the ebg gang are heading off to ride in South Africa, hope they have a good trip and hope they get some good horses to ride. I heard the ride starts at 12 o clock at night, I wonder what woo is in Sth African and hope they don't meet any of those big fly's.
I also spotted Herbie is riding on Sunday in just a 30k CR, if he'd have told me I could have ridden with him, thats would have made a change, just about my distance.
Must get me camara on charge, shall I leave you a picture of Abi's new mare so you can all have a nose... Franchesca. |

Hi Sue Nice to see you at the weekend. Sadly i didnt ride due to my horse having nail bind and not being able to start! We had a eventful weekend as the crew car broke down on course then i sat with it for hours awaiting rescue. it wasthe alternator so drove it home praying i wouldn't stall it at all as had to be bump started!!! My 6yo Ishtar Spirit did her first 80km ride and upgrade to Advanced and was ridden by young Rider Jodie Jenkins who did a fantatic job. Thanks for the offer of cake it looked lovely but would of broken all the no wheat low fat low dairy rules of this diet they have me on. I was naughty enough at the weekend as it was as ate chocolate yet when I weighed myself I have still lost another KG since thurs despite trying to eat plenty Kirsty |
