The Arabian Racing Premier Handicap Stakes 0-90 over 1 Mile
2 Furlongs:
Ejaabi (Prince D’Orient x Segalaoui) has always looked
a class act, he won his maiden nicely over this trip before an
excellent second to Falak over a mile on Dubai Day; and he gained
suitable compensation here when winning under a fine ride from
Michael Hills to beat stablemate Marsak but just under two lengths.
Ejaabi showed a blinding turn of foot in final half furlong to
win and can go on from here for trainer Gill Duffield and owner
HH Sheikh Hamdan. Back in second was 7-4 Fav Marsak (Al Sakbe
x Margau) who was third to Marsak on Dubai Day and also won his
maiden over this trip, Richard Hills was all out on him inside
the final furlong but couldn’t reel in the winner. Whilst
Alize Safinat (Tidjani x Al Din) ran another excellent race in
defeat for the Royal Cavalry of Oman, he was finishing fast and
furious in the last furlong and only lost out to Marsak by a
neck. Solid yardstick Deolali was a credible fourth.
