Dormah de Brugere (Dormane x Ballade Folle) continues to hold her form admirably well this season winning easily at Brighton over six furlongs in a Group 3 event over coming subsequent winner CS Malik. She was always travelling well under Harry Haynes and kicked readily clear in the final furlong to come clear of former Group 1 winning sprinter Djeldor de Bozouls (Dormane x Udjella) to claim her second Group victory of the campaign, she holds entries in both the Group 1 Zaabeel Stakes over six furlongs and the Group 1 Hatta Mares Stakes over one-mile-two-furlongs but on this evidence she holds major place claims for the Zaabeel. Djeldor de Bozouls ran his usual game race and fought hard in the final furlong but couldn’t catch the winner and finished one-and-half lengths adrift. The Vertuous Crusader (Vert Olive x Crusader’s Spirit (Sky Crusader))found this step down to his optimum trip ideal but struggled against these proven Group performers but wasn’t disgraced in finishing another five lengths back in third.
