The Albrighton Maiden Stakes – 7 Furlongs:

3. Aljawza Mr. P Collington

Distances: ½, ¾ 9 ran

Winner owned and bred by Mr. M Brunton. Trained by Mr. A J Brunton.

The opening maiden over 7 Furlongs was won in fine style by CS Jumali (Bengali D’Albret x Jumah (Div)) who was making his debut and at 3 was a year younger than half the field, he’s by Champion sire Bengali D’Albret whilst his dam Jumah was a smart handicapper. He was held up with a run and hit the front inside the final furlong and although green he showed a smart turn of foot to repel Shatha (Passem Lotois x Seyvilla Wikenya), he and can go on from here. Shatha made a strong debut in second, whilst Aljawza (Dormane x Maheba De Piboul) was finishing best of all and will be dangerous when upped to a mile.

The Jebel Ali Racing Club Handicap Stakes (Series Qualifier) 0-65 over 1 Mile 1 ½ Furlongs:
1. Raihan
Mr. S Walker
2. WA Savannah Sunrise Mr. R G Woollard
3. French Lieutenant Mr. D Turner

Distances: 1, head 13 ran

Winner owned by Mr. & Mrs S Connally. Trained by Mrs. S Connally. Bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Raihan (Passem Lotois x G Sustika) won for the second time of asking at Wolverhampton this season and clearly appreciates the surface, she did it the hard way and led from start to finish and stayed on strongly from a staying on WA Savannah Sunrise (Dantist x Sasparilla Sunrise (Maliek El Kheil)), whilst French Lieutenant (Dedja Des Forges x Sihrea Crystal (Crystal Magician)) was making gallant strides a head back in third.

The Oxley Classified Stakes (0-95) Over 7 Furlongs:
1. Mutarased
Mr. P Collington
2. The Vertuous Crusader Mr. D Turner
3. Za’eemah Mr. S Walker

Distances: 5, short head 4 ran

Winner owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Trained by Mrs. G Duffield. Bred by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd.

In the 7 Furlong conditions they ran the first two furlongs at a crawl as no one would go on, in the end Phil Collington seized the initiative on Mutarased and made all, he upped the pace from 2 furlongs out and the others were toiling in his wake and could never get back on terms. Mutarased (Bengali D’Albret x Simooma (Vadeer)) won easily by 5 lengths in the end and remains progressive. The Vertuous Crusader (Vert Olive x Crusaders Spirit (Sky Crusader)) ran with credit back in second in a muddling affair and held on gamely from the fast finishing Za’eemah (Passem Lotois x PS Crystal Sage) who lost her un beaten record to claim third.

The Kingswood Common Banded Stakes (Band C) Over 7 Furlongs:
1. Maximillion
Mr. H Haynes
2. Fair Deed Dash Mr. D Turner
2. On The Wing Miss T Smith

Distances: 2 ½, dead heat 8 ran

Winner owned and trained by Mrs. G Haynes. Bred by Mrs V Bunting.

Maximillion (Crusader x Marsinique) won for the second time of asking at this track and also seems to be developing into an all weather specialist, he led the field from 5 furlongs out and quickened smartly away to win going away by 3 lengths. The penny finally seems to have dropped for Fair Deed Dash (Dedja Des Forges x TFA Ashajan) and she battled hard in the final furlong to dead heat with On The Wing (Wiking x Tee Jay Carries Star) for second.

The Dunstall Park Handicap Stakes 0-85 Over 6 Furlongs:
1. Roches Du Cayrou
Mr. R Cummings
2. Alnaba Mr. P Collington
3. CS Kabira Mr. H Haynes

Distances: 1 ½, ¾ 8 ran

Winner owned and trained by Mrs. D Thomas. Bred by M. J-M Baldy & M.C. Vallee.

Roches Du Cayrou (Newday x Kahinaoura) was a smart juvenile in Germany where he won twice at Group level several years ago, he seems to be right back to his best and scored his third win of the season over this insufficient trip of 6 Furlongs. He seemed to struggle from the start but kept on and hit the front a furlong from home and won nicely by a length and a half. Alnaba (Djelfor x Komet) who has been racing successfully in the UAE was making her UK debut but raced far too keenly early on and did herself no favours but should improve for the run and fought hard for second from a staying on CS Kabira (Djebbel x Ciarosa (Ciato)).

The Lower Penn Graduation Stakes (Anglo & PBA) 0-110 Over 1 Mile 1 ½ Furlongs:
1. Madrison
Mr. M Smith
2. Castle Lee Lad Mr. S Walker
3. Sugar Dandy Miss C J Green

Distances: 5, 13 7 ran

Winner owned by Mr. S Shefras & Ms. V Hemstock. Trained by Mrs. N Pook. Bred by M Jean-Luc Gaillard.

Madrison (L’Estragon x Madrisa) made his UK debut a winning one in the Anglo/ PBA race, he travelled well throughout and showed a smart turn of foot to skip clear on the bridle to win by an easy 5 lengths. Castle Lee Lad (Kenilworth Castle x Miss Annabel Lee) ran another good race in second but had no chance with the winner, whilst Sugar Dandy (Ballacashtal x Chantille Saucy Sal) was a slightly disappointing third.

The Weston Park Handicap Stakes 0-75 Over 1 Mile 6 Furlongs:
1. Hellow Mr. S Walker
2. Anganate Safinat Mr. P J Murphy
3. CS Wraith Mr. H Haynes

Distances: 3, neck 9 ran

Winner owned by Mrs. W Smith. Trained by Mr. W Smith. Bred by Mme M-C Biauds.

Hellow (Kesberoy x Hafia De Fuast) who was friendless in the betting and drifted out to 7/1 but he won in fine style by an easy 3 lengths. They went no pace over this staying trip and Hellow went on from 3 furlongs and the field was caught flat footed. Anganate Safinat (Manganate x Astree) was technically running from out of the handicap and ran a blinder to finish second, whilst CS Wraith (Djebbel x Waywood Ghost (Nazim)) is slowly finding her form and was a neck back in third.
