The
Travemunde Maiden Stakes – 1 Mile ½ Furlong:
1. Udjedai Des Agatchols Mr. P Collington
2. Penny Black Mr. S Harrison
3. Jasoora Mr. S Walker
Distances: ½, 1 ½ 13
ran
Winner owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Trained
by Mrs G Duffield. Bred by E.A.R.L. Mezagri.
The opening
maiden over 1 mile and ½ furlong was a muddling
affair with most of the field being left at the start. However,
Gill Duffield’s Derby entry Udjedai Des Agatchols (Dormane
x Udjella) won nicely in the end but was made to pull out all
the stops by Jackie Hutchings recruit Penny Black (Chndaka x
Pevunja (Vympel)) who was only beaten half a length and looks
useful. Jasoora (Passem Lotois x Emeraude Du Cayrou) stayed on
for third and is going the right way.
The Offshore Handicap Stakes (0-75) 5 Furlongs:
1. Za’eemah Mr. S Walker
2. Lubaba Mr. P Collington
3. Fayre Abi Mr. P J Murphy
Distances:
4, 1 ½,
7 ran
Winner owned by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Trained
by Mr. W Smith. Bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saeed.
Za’eemah (Passem Lotois x PS Crystal Sage) won the 0-75
handicap over five furlongs and sprinted clear of her rivals
by an easy five lengths to make it from two and looks firmly
on the upgrade. Lubaba (Nuits St Georges x Arytmia) made a pleasing
seasonal debut in second but couldn’t live the winner but
remains well handicapped, whilst Fayre Abi (Abitibi x Fayrelands
Gold) was one and half lengths back in third and looked tapped
for toe in the straight.
The Lake Traunsee Handicap Stakes (Open) 5 Furlongs:
1. CS Patriarch Mr. D Turner
2. Shahngali Mr. P Deymonaz
3. Baraka Sharlap Mr. S Walker
Distances: 3, 3 4 ran
Winner owned and bred by Mr. M Brunton. Trained Mr. A J Brunton.
CS Patriarch
(Makzan x Pokrovka (Desant)) is another who looks to be improving.
Last seasons leading Pure bred made use of his
light weight to outsprint Group 3 winner Shahngali (Bengali D’Albret
x Affecshahn (Derbist)) over the five furlong trip, he made all
and came home an easy one and a half lengths clear in the end.
Baraka Sharlap (ZT Shahkar x Al Tamah) was the same distance
behind in third and seemed to find this trip a touch on the sharp
side.
The
Jebel Ali Racing Club Banded Stakes (Series Qualifier) 1
Mile ½ Furlong:
1. SA Bibi Mr. G C Farr
2. Kateland Mr. P J Murphy
3. Notid Mr. F J Offord
Distances: ¾,
2 13 ran
Winner owned by Mrs. J K Farr. Trained by Mr. G C Farr. Bred
by Miss W Parkin.
SA Bibi (Abitibi x Florich) gained revenge on Kateland who defeated
him at Fontwell last week by winning the Jebel Ali Qualifier
with three quarters of a length to spare, in doing so trainer
/ jockey Gordon Farr rode out his claim. Kateland (Vert Olive
x Fayrelands Gold) made all but was stalked throughout by SA
Bibi who got his head in front in the final furlong. Notid (Tidjani
x Sherrie Noreen) continues to run consistently and stayed on
for third for in the in form David Paton yard.
The Fujairah Banded Stakes (Band C) 5 Furlongs:
1. Maximillion Mr. H Haynes
2. Aqtal Mr. F J Offord
3. Dakota Willow Mr. M Wall
Distances: neck, 3 8 ran
Winner owned and trained by Mrs. G Haynes. Bred by Mrs. V Bunting.
Genny Haynes
hasn’t
had a runner for over year Arab racing but she made it a winning
return when Maximillion (Crusader x
Marsinique) out galloped his rivals in the five furlong Band
C race giving jockey Harry Haynes his first winner racing. Aqtal
(Crusader x Azz El Kheil) was sent off favourite and looked to
have the race at his mercy but Maximillion battled on well to
score at the line by a neck. Dakota Willow (Estamera x CR Bint
Natalie) ran another sound race and was four lengths back in
third.
The Stresa Handicap Stakes (0-90) 1 Mile 4 Furlongs:
1. A Mans Man Mr. S Walker
2. Deolali Mr. A Newey
3. CS Clarion Mr. P Collington
Distances: short head, 3 10 ran
Winner owned and bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Trained by Mr. W Smith.
A Man’s Man (Dormane x Amira D’Albret)
won the one mile four furlong event under a strong ride from
Champion jockey
Simon Walker, however he was made to work hard as Deolali (Khairouan
x Operetta) was snapping at his heels all the way to the line.
Deolali was held up this time and seemed to stay the trip and
was narrowly beaten a short head on the line. CS Clarion (Chndaka
x Cikada) came back to form and stayed on for third.
The
Tvedestrand Graduation Stakes (Anglo & PBA) 1 Mile ½ Furlong:
1. Oakvalley Rialto Mr. P Collington
2. Hardtoback Mr. R G Woollard
3. Chiloe Mr. P D Rondel
Distances:
9, 1 ½ 4
ran
Winner owned
and trained by Mr. W Hill. Bred by Mrs M – L
Lees.
Oakvalley
Rialto (Band On The Run x Rialtesse) made short work of her
rivals in the
final race over one mile and half a furlong
coming home eight lengths clear under a confident ride from Phil
Collington. Hardtoback (Norton Challenger x Harem VII) was always
chasing in second but ran well enough, as did Chiloe (Saratogan
x Belle D’un Soir) who was another length back in third.
