3. Ardente Sauvage Mr. S Walker
Distances: ¾,

The Anglo race over 7 furlongs was won in fine
style by La Perruche (L’Estragon x Iron Bird) under owner/trainer/rider Philip
Rondel, she quickened up nicely in the final furlong and held
off the fast finishing Hardtoback (Norton Challenger x Harem
VII), with Ardente Sauvage (Feu Ardent x L’Eau Sauvage)
another short head back in third.
The Market Rasen Banded Stakes (Band C) over 7 Furlongs:
1. Kifah Mr. T Collier
2. Doraman Mr. S Walker
3. Arhia Mr. S Holdsworth
Distances: 6, 2 5 ran Time: 01:55:50
Winner owned and trained by Mr. J R Collier. Bred by HH Sheikh
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Kifah (Passem Lotois x WF Wiktoria) has often
looked a little short on ability but not speed and under the
capable hands of
trainer John Collier’s nephew Tdaji Collier she found an
extra gear and made short work of this weak field to win by a
comfortable six lengths and it seems the penny has finally dropped.
Doraman (Monitor x Darania) didn’t have a chance with the
winner and seemed tapped for toe but kept on easily for second
ahead of Arhia (Khairouan x Avril De Syrah) who was another 2
lengths back in third.
The easibed Maiden Stakes over 1 Mile:
1. Khawater Mr. P Collington
2. Shatha Mr. S Walker
3. Dhabi Mr. S Holdsworth
Distances:
2 ½, 5 7 ran Time: 02:04:50
Winner owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Trained
by Mrs. G Duffield. Bred by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd.
Khawater (Tidjani x Synaps) confirmed the promise
she showed on her debut and scored in an authorative fashion
showing a smart
turn of foot to land this mile made comfortably. Shahta (Passem
Lotois x Seyvilla Wikeyna) was another 2 ½ lengths back
in second and may appreciate a step up in trip and her trun isn’t
far away, whilst Dhabi (Dormane x Diraia) ran an eye catching
race and was making ground in the closing stages to finish third.
The
Jebel Ali Racing Club Banded Stakes (Series Qualifier) Bands
A, B & C over 7 Furlongs:
1. Benny The Dip Mr. T Collier
2. Jana Mr. S Holdsworth
3. Barnshill Warrior Mr. M Wall
Distances:
head, ½ 14 ran Time: 01:50:20
Winner owned by Mr & Mrs J Morris. Trained
by Mr. J Morris. Bred by Mrs. G Duffield.
Tdaji Collier scored his first double when piloting
Benny The Dip (Bengali D’Albret x Duiker) to victory
in the 7 furlong event. The horses all finished in a group
and it was nip and
tuck all the way to line with the principles Jana, Barnshill
Warrior and Benny The Dip all out to win. In the end Collier
drove Benny The Dip lead in the shadow of the post to score by
a length from the admirably consistent Jana (Normativ x Joli)
who was a shade unlucky. Barnshill Warrior (Madryn Warrior x
Just A Legend) was another half length back in third and is going
the write way.
The easibed Classified Stakes 0-90 over 7 Furlongs:
1. Najayeb Mr. P Collington
2. CS Kabira Mr. H Haynes
3. Pavots Dreamboy Mr. S Walker
Distances:
neck, 3 ½ 10 ran Time: 01:48:30
Winner owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Trained
by Mrs. G Duffield. Bred by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd.
Najayeb (Djebbel x Juans Karita Ku) enhanced her already tall
reputation with an emphatic win in the 0-90 Classified race over
7 furlongs, always handy she showed admirable battling qualities
in the final furlong to repel CS Kabira (Djebbel x Ciarosa) by
a head at the line. The latter seems to have found her form after
a good win at Stratford and is on the upgrade. Pavots Dreamboy
(Pavot Al Maury x Autumn Dream) was another 5 lengths back in
third and was clear of the rest.
The RHT Handicap Stakes 0-75 over 2 Miles:
1. CS Wraith Mr. P Deymonaz
2. Anganate Safinat Mr. P Collington
3. WA Savannah Sunrise Mr. R Woollard
Distances: ¾,
6 8 ran Time: 04:17:10
Winner owned by The Clarendon Racing Club. Trained by Mr. A
J Brunton. Bred by Mr. M Brunton.
CS Wraith (Djebbel x Waywood Ghost) lost her maiden tag with
a good battling victory over Anganate Safinat in the 2 mile handicap
proving she has inherited her mothers stamina. Always travelling
well she dug deep in the final furlong to outstay the relentless
challenge of Anganate Safinat (Manganate x Astree) and held on
by a head, she can continue to progress from here. WA Savannah
Sunrise (Dantist x Sasparilla Sunrise) ran her usual game race
but seems to struggle over trips in excess of 14 furlongs.
The Yellow Belly Handicap over 1 Mile:
1. Malik D’Or Mr. S Walker
2. Aljard Mr. P Collington
3. Deolali Mr. A Newey
Distances:
4, ½ 4 ran Time: 02:02:10
Winner owned by MAUFU Syndicate. Trained by Mr.
W Smith. Bred by Mme M Lopez & M J M De Fajole.
The impeccably bred Malik D’Or (Dormane x Malika Fontenay)
got his head in front for the MAUFU Syndicate after being highly
tried in Group 1 events including the Derby and the Dubai Stakes,
but dropped in grade he did nothing wrong and quickened smartly
away from his rivals to win this 1 mile open handicap by an easy
6 lengths from group 2 winner Aljard (Vert Olive x Ester Du Paon).
The latter had every chance but couldn’t go with the winner
when the pace was increased and had to fight hard to hold onto
second ahead of Deolali (Khairouan x Operetta) who was an impressive
half a length back in third.
