Me and my best friend had a day out at York Horse Sales today.
Had a look through the catalogue, wandered around the stables and exercise arena and totally shocked when we saw what looked like a pure Arab gelding come into the ring - how did we not spot him!
The catalogue didn't mention he was an Arab, so knew nothing about him. Gutted afterwards - we should have bought him. We have loads of grass and he would have filled out and matured lovely with us. I went to the office afterwards to nosey at his passport and sure enough he was a purebred. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/dns+xavi I went to see him in the stables afterwards, and he was such a sweetheart, nuzzzling up to me
Hope hes found a lovely home? My friend spoke to the purchaser while I was in the office and she said she'd never had an Arab before, and knows nothing about them but she liked the look of him. Really wish people would put details in the sales catalogues!!!

What a shame for him to end up at York, i know his breeder Pat and i could of let her know that he was there. I had a stallion out of Marediva and when we gelded him he spent a couple of years at Kirkley collage as i wasn,t using him , the students loved him there , hes now with a friend doing BD and has always had a lovely temperament. I do hope hes going to a good home . |

I think he has been bought by a dealer called Imperial Horses. She has today posted a photo of him saying she has never had an arab before and he looks strikingly similar to the photo you have posted. If you are on Facebook type in 'The Imperial Horses and her page should come up with the photo of him on there. The only thing that is throwing me is she is based in Cambridgeshire, so a fair way away from York! |

So very sad, why would anyone put him up for sale without making his breeding clear?
I hope someone can get him away from there asap. |

He looks lovely, hope he ends up in a nice home, as he has obviously been bought to sell on. |

My dad went to the sale just for a nosy. He thinks he sold for £600. I wish I had the space for more. |

What a shame Imperial horse dealers do not have a good reputation at all, I wonder how much they want for him, hope he finds a good home. |

I contacted her last night after reading this thread asking his price. I sent her a very polite message asking her details about him etc, not mentioning this thread and I got a very curt reply of 2000. I'm not in a position to have another but I was curious. |

It is very sad to see a lovely Arab sold for 600 guineas, that's 2mths livery for my spoilt boy. Can only hope that as price is now £2000 he has moved up in the market and has a better chance of a good home. Fingers X for him. |

saw a pic of him on a fb page...for duns d (hint hint, if anyone wants a look)....He looks lovely, very raw and needing schooled but lovely all the same. Think theres some heated discussion on it because someone has put on how much she bought it for at auction. |

Is this the same horse that's just been advertised for sale in the geldings section on here? I thought I seen him advertised just a few months ago on here for £500 but could be mistaken. |

What a journey this lad has been on! I am always looking for good and hoping his current price reflects the work put in that will find him a great future. Current owner I am sure will update us as advertised on here. |
