This has probably been done to death, but I have started to day, what is your success and have you any interesting ways to make the food taste better.
I need to lose about 23lb, and that would make me about 10.10st
My horse is only 14.3HH,So I'm 12st 6, my saddle is 18lb plus, bridle, clothes, boots, coat etc, so my poor little horse is probably carrying 14 and half stone.
I need all the support I can get.

I saw an ex-colleague the other day and commented on her weight loss. She said she is on he Dukan diet and she said she's never had the weight come off so quickly on a diet before.

I lost lots of weight and it has stayed off except through my Christmas gluttony period!!! I stick to it during the week at lunchtimes and cheat the rest of the time, never felt better! It doesn't agree or work for everyone but I think it's brill, the other good thing apart from losing weight is that I don't obsess over food every waking hour! Good luck |

Hi Thanks for that, I have bin on the scales to day 12st5.0 I was, acutely 12st6.8 yesterday so I am more then pleased, I have a ball to go to next weekend and of course every lb I loose is 1 less my horse has to lug around.
Mad Alice, look on the net to find info on it as its complicated to explain, but simple to do, I have the will power of a nat, so if I can do it so can you, we can do it together and support each other.
Off to work now!!! |

I've been 'thinking' of trying this for a couple of years after seeing a programme on tv where they tested it with excellent results, maybe it's about time I got on with it Wondering if I need to buy a book or is there enough information on the internet? |

Well to day 12st2.8 I have lost 4lb, I have done 3 days of the Attach phase, and I'm now on to the Cruise for 3 days.
I feel better already. I have brought the book and a recipe book, although there are some recipes and Menus in "The Dukan Diet" book.
The funny thing is I don't seem to have any of the urges to pig out on every bit of food I can get my hands on.I have highlighted the book to make it easier to look for key stages and make it easier for me to follow, if you did buy the book you could do that to.
There are some recipes for sweet puds that satisfy the urge for sugar.

well to day 12st3.0 feel a bit down to day, still doing the Cruise phase, was really looking forward to a meat and veg meal yesterday, but in the end it dint happen (not going in to it). On the good side I did find that 0% yogurt is very nice if you put sweetener in it, and I must have eaten almost a 500gs
I am going to keep going and let you know tomorrow.
If you are fed up with the posts let me know and I will stop posting my dieting ups and downs.

I do feel OK, I do seem to have less energy, but then I was a bit , So I suppose I am more normal now. I am going to a charity ball on Saturday and needed to buy a bra with an off the shoulder strap, well the mirror in the changing room made me look huge ( big muffin top over my jeans, then a spare tyre, and then 2 huge melons. I am changing in to my Grand Mother!!! Thank goodness for control pants.

I did the Dukan diet - only wanted to lose a stone and did it in a month no problem, but put 1/2 stone back on as I didn't continue with the final phase and re-found my passion for bacon and hash brown sandwiches, milk choc digestives and crisps! Ooops!
It does work, although I had 0 energy on 'attack days' and still cannot bring myself to eat cold chicken!
I love omelettes though - tuna and onion are yum and very filling, as are the tuna and salmon fishcakes
... P.S. if there are any veggies out there who obviously can't do Dukan, i've just done a diet where I lost 9lbs in one week and it is all fruit and beg - very very tough but bril if you have a special event coming up! Would be happy to PM the details |

Hi To day 12st 0.4 I have loads of energy to day for some strange reason. Pasha are the tuna and onion omelette's and the tuna and salmon fishcakes in the recipe book.
I am doing one day of attack and one day of cruse now, to be honest I don't think I could keep it up other wise.
I am getting in to the swing of things and trying to vary the food and flavours. One thing I do look forward to is the oat bran porridge with sweetener. |

Well done Glo Please keep posting about how you're doing, hopefully it will spur me into action. Am I right in thinking that when you reach your target weight you have to do one day a week of the attack phase to maintain? Seem to remember something about that on the programme I saw |

To day 11st 13.2 I only have 18lb to lose!!I have decided to count down the lb's.(trying to be positive here)
Lanabanana: there are 4 parts to the diet, Attack: pure proteins. Cruise:100 unlimited foods in alternation. Consolidation: 5 days per lb lost. Stabilization:1 day a week attack, no more lifts and escalators and 3 tablespoons of oatbran a day.
To be honest I would do Stabilization to remain slim and never have to diet again, I think its a small price to pay for hopefully fab results.
My friend is doing the diet and she has lost a lot of weight, she is doing it in small amounts, she said that the consolidation must to done, she said that somehow the body forgets it was heavy and after the consolidation is done, she was surprised the she could eat well (1 week eating out with friends with drinks 5 times) and not putting the weight back on.
I am not a big over eater, my main problem is holidays, over Christmas I put on 2-3 lb, Easter 1-2 lbs, Summer holidays 3-4lb, and then not knowing how to lose it, hopefully I will be able to control or should I say be in control of it from now on. |
