Yes the big count down to Dubai Day has begun and the UK have a very strong team to do battle with the UAE and the rest of Europe, I think we're in for some cracking racing.
Press day was today and there's quite a buzz about this meeting.
And rumour has it a certain Aliner will be doing the "punditry" for a certain racing channel. That is of course only a rumour!

Crikey, will the Arab racing be on the telly? How cool. Not only Paul that will have to do his make-up, then. You all need to look at your most gorgeous best. Don't forget the baby oil round the eyes...don't put it on the horses, though, they don't want to look like tarts handbags on their big t.v. break.
I'll have to get a friend to video it for me as we are away that w/e. Pooh!

Hi All,
Getting excited now as Walter and I are driving down for the racing and then popping in to see our boy at 'boarding school'!

Ooooh can't wait and getting very excited. It's a really lovely day out, great racing, free entry, free prize draws etc.
It would be lovely to meet up with some AL'ers and put faces to names, so come on down, you know you want to. Got to support our UK horses.
Anyone know if Dahess is running this year ?
Just thought, perhaps a small but beautifully formed lapel merkin could be the identifier for the day ? |

Shame on you, Merlot, do not be embarassed, be PROUD! Wear a full sized Merkin in all it's glory..on the lapel, of course...and spread the word. Obviously I would but am sadly out of the country on that day. Pity |

Suppose you are away with Willy - what a shame, could you not just fly in for the afternoon ?
I would wear a full size merkin but am worried about being mistaken for a biffalo....... |

Oooh dear Ang - dangerous territory - how long have you got. Sit down, preferably on your own, and google merkin.
A biffalo is cross between a buffalo and a biffa - me Add that to a merkin and all will become clear. OK maybe not, but there's time. Hopefully see you at Newbury |

Who said it was me???? I can confirm I won't be doing it in drag so need for hair or makeup, it'll be DIY like when I choked at Kempton Park in October!!!
Liz - your boy looked lovely when I saw him, bet you can't wait to see him race and you'll love Dubai Day, who knows next year he might be running there!
Ang - I think Rayyan was with Sarah Kelleway at some point, I can't find her on all breed pedigrees but you say she is an unraced daughter of Pella De Coste.
Should be a good race but wide open, the best French performers aren't coming over so could be anyone really. Would be great for British breeding if Prince Dormant won!
Go brits!

Hi everyone! We went to Lingfield last year and had a fabulous day out! We are hoping to come to Dubai Day, but can you please tell me if there is a dress code for the occasion? Feel embarrassed asking!!! Sabine |
