The big white bird, the last to fly finally went into her £19M stable today. Did not see any straw but she will be dry from now on. Will be visiting her this Summer when the Museum opens. |

I know never to be forgotten. We were lucky as we live near the end of Filton Runway where they were built. We followed the big bird before she hatched and her engines were carried on the Vulcan bomber. Later we stood at the end of the runway for her first flight. We were there when she landed for the last time. |

I remember driving past Manston Airport, Kent, and seeing lots of cars. I stopped out of curiosity in time to see Concorde land. It was spectacular. |
