Posted - 04 Jul 2015 : 12:38:36 PM Hello Everyone. I was wondering if anyone/organisation can help find some information on Arabian Horse numbers in UK, (including Anglos) and worldwide well the most likely countries. Is there any general database/dataset that this might be available. Also the economic contribution to each country including UK/Ireland and direct/indirect employment figures. I was wondering on a project. Anyway any information gratefully appreciated on where I might get this information. Thank you very much everyone. |

Posted - 04 Jul 2015 : 4:08:34 PM Very interesting project. Economic contribution would involve a sample survey of how they are kept and used. For instance, my horse is insured, shod, on Monday to Friday livery, he has rugs and tack, vet care, winter feed, fly spray, ointments etc. I dread to add it all up, keeping him to the manner he is accustomed certainly contributes to local and wider economy. I don't travel him or do shows and that's all money in trailers, horse boxes etc. |
