Due to daughter going away for a year and me having another op on 3rd December, would prefer them to be local if at all possible, but would consider further, they can live out as long as rugged and fed, can pay max £450 per month.

Many thanks for reading in advance

Paula

Oh dear sounds a bit grim, but keep strong and focus on the future when you will up and about again enjoying your horses - sending healing wishes and Christmas Cheer. Best wishes Alison.

Thanks everyone, I am now a week post op, still can't walk in a great deal of pain they had to do open knee surgery :( so after 2 days and nights of considerable pain I'm back on the morphine, it's going to be a long road to recovery :(

Thank you Barbara. I think we all feel a bit helpless as we are so far away, I'm in Kent.

She was in quite a bit of pain post op; will have a look on FB later and report back if there is any news.

I hope all goes well for you in hospital and that you will make a good recovery.

If you had been closer to me Gossy i would of helped you out by taking them as we have a spare 9 ac field you could of popped them in, sadly we are up north. Good luck with the op hope all goes well.

thanks Barbara, I did have a very kind offer from someone but some other personal things happened over the weekend, which has at the moment made it impossible for me to do anything and let the person help me at the moment, so its on hold, i've begged some people around me to help with the horses in current temp situation, and I am not looking for to tomorrow which is when my op is, I am in hospital at 6.45 in the morning :(

Bumping this up for you, Paula; I do hope you have managed to sort something out. I wish I was near you and I could help uot while you not able to do it. Is there no one near who would put hay out twice a day and check them? So long as they have warm rugs and lots of hay they should be OK for a while until you are fit again. I need a hip replacement but I am waiting until late spring to have it done and the horses can be out. I have someone I can pay to check them until I am able to do them again (not long, I hope) and my husband will put out hay etc when needed.

Thinking of you.

Barbara

Did you get the horses sorted, Paula?
gossy Posted - 22 Oct 2014 : 12:35:57 PM
living out is fine but would need checking and feeding everyday, one has to have a half prascend every day.

I will could speak to my friend he has a very large field (100 ac), but they would have to live out. If your interested let me know. We are on the Quantocks.
