Morning people. I've just been sent the link to an arab being advertised as free to a good home. He's a 28 year old gelding and the ad is on Preloved. May I put the link on here please? I can't take him on as I've already got 4 but keeping my fingers crossed someone here can. The advertiser is based in Preston (I think) but the horse is in Evesham.

Apologies if this message is seen as advertising....I promise he's not my horse and I don't know him, I'm just really concerned for his welfare...

Hi, no info at all , passport says 1985, makes him 27, but it could be a year or two either way I would think, I'm sure he was advertised on here a couple of years ago so may jog someone's memory xx

Any clues as to his original name? Where he came from? His date of birth? I agree with the others - he definitely looks high Crabbet to me.
pendragon Posted - 02 Nov 2012 : 06:53:47 AM

pendragon Posted - 21 Oct 2012 : 4:40:20 PM
Thank you everyone, its been a foul day and he's tucked up in bed with a huge bucket of fast fibre and grass nut slop, he is eating most of the time and snoozing on and off, I can see him from my bedroom, I think he must be high % crabbet too, will be interested to research his pedigree when his passport arrives xx
Quarabian Posted - 21 Oct 2012 : 4:36:39 PM
He looks a bit puzzled bless him. Wait until he finds out he has come home at last.
zooscat Posted - 21 Oct 2012 : 3:10:38 PM
What a lovely old horse. I agree with Kharidian - looks very Crabbet to me as well!
pat day Posted - 21 Oct 2012 : 12:41:05 PM
I am positive the people EMW, who have Paris, would give you some great advice.
Shes an oldie and needed to gain condition gradually.

All the very best, and Good luck with you old boy.

Oh what a lovely story with such a happy outcome, well done - he looks very sprightly bless him !
Kharidian Posted - 20 Oct 2012 : 10:56:14 PM
Bless! I agree with Pinkyboots - huge feeds of something like well soaked grass nuts / lucerne nuts and Sugarbeet that he can pick at through the day & night if he has bad teeth - especially if he's also having trouble with hay, as this will give his guts plenty to work on and is full of fibre too.

His white legs& face are remarkably like my Roger - I bet he's high percentage Crabbet!
