In view of the very sad news about poor Ijaaz, I thought I would post a positive message about Endurance. I am very proud of Lily (Zahkira) who achieved her first 80km graded ride at Keysoe 10 days ago, she was such a good girl, not least because we rode the last 20km alone, having unfortunately lost our lovely riding partners after 60km due to rider illness. At the final vetting she trotted up beautifully, head up, ears *****ed and a floating stride (I know this because I was very kindly offered a runner to trot her up by the vet, since I obviously wasn't as fresh as Lily was!). I was so proud.

We usually start laughing at silly o clock as we load our trusty team up for the road trip, and continue with the hysteria for the rest of the day! We're affectionately known as Team Nutjob by a few fellow Endurance loonies

This thread is a ray of sunshine especially "laughed lots". We laugh and joke when out hacking, usually it's me that gets applause and awarded points for sitting whatever athletic move Ari has performed to avoid a suspect leaf. Daughter and pal are great at bringing French & Saunders Peter Pan and Jigsaw sketch to life.
After so much bad news it's heartwarming to see happy horses being enjoyed. |

Well done Team Lily what a fantastic achievement, happy ponio happy jockey. Love it  Endurance is such an amazing sport, we've made some great friends and ridden beautiful courses, and laughed lots |

Lovely pics. Hope to do a bit of endurance with my boy one day. He's six now and has spent all summer going through the 'I'd rather not do that!' stage. Hope next year he might be in a 'Come on mum, let's do that' phase. All he thinks he should do at the moment is cuddle.  |

Thank you to the kind person who tidied my photos up  , and for your kind comments. Lily has a super power - she always photographs bright white, even when she is a bit grubby (although obviously I did clean her before the ride!). I hope you and Milly have a great year in 2016 SuziQ. |

Beautiful pics and big well done. We've only been to a couple of pleasure rides but we've loved it and cant wait to get out with Millie next year
