Reply author: Eeyore I have two, a grey purebred SE gelding called Marim and a bay purebred mare called Nimah. They both live at home with me. They used to live at my parents which was lovely too but now I have my dream of being able to see them from my kitchen window.

Reply author: Dark Angel I have two pallys, Shulay Bullion (21 this year) and Sameon Amber Gold (7 months), both entires and both full of mischief. I keep them at home which is just as well because they are a pair of hoodlums when they get together.

All are kept at home now that we have been lucky enough to buy a farm. We used to have them at DIY livery some 17 miles away from the house - although we only had 8 horses at the time! Reply author: Delyth Carole you need more horses !!! Any preference to colour.....just so I know who to send
Reply author: george Hmmmm! We have eight...two of them are weanling's, Blue was my accidental way back to owning horses after an enforced six year break, I was helping a friend buy a first horse for her daughter from a local dealer when he said "ohhh I got one for you, clean legged an I know you'll like her..I made the best mistake by looking in the back of the trailer at this leggy blue and white 7mnth old filly, a week later she was being delivered she is 11 now and not the type of horse I would ever really have gone for, she was out of a heavy mare and a part bred TB but I love my "big butt" sooo much and she has given me some beautiful foals the first of which is Sahani Magic eagle (Magic) she is now 7 and we have loads of fun together, she is 25% Arab 25% Trakehner and 50% Blue, lol. Then we have our little pure bred mare Treebinshwm Drucila (Treebie) she was a bit of a rescue from brecon horse sales and as a six year old was only just about halter broken and had never even seen hard feed, she's now very protective of her feed! Then we have her daughter who is very special to my OH as she is the last foal by his Trakehner/Polish Arab stallion, he is also the sire of TJ our big, strong, handsome colt who we unfortunately will have to part with in the future if the right home comes along. Next to arrive was a beautiful fluffy colt last year called Tes Nabil and he really is the beginning of our dream of owning Arabians, next to join us is Lemon boxer my five year old sons pally and white shetland gelding he is only just three and although my son has sat on him and he is lovely and quiet we are going to take things very slow with them over this summer, and last but absolutely no means least is the beautiful Nebraska (still got to sort out the pics) she is settling in very nicely and we are enjoying getting to know her wonderful personality there are also two more of the foals we have bred at our yard one belongs to my sister and the other to my good friend so its lovely to watch them grow up too. The yard is a couple of miles away and although the facilities are quite basic everyone there help each other out and are friendly we all look out for one another's horses and the yard owner lives on site so it feels very secure with people coming and going at different times of the day, but I'm still waiting for my sister to buy a lovely house with land for my babies to live on

Reply author: joanna_piana Not many stop at one do they! Somehow i'm back up to three not quite sure how that happened. Two purebreds and a New Forest Pony. I'm a sucker for buying ponies back after i've sold them! Ishara and Rioja are at one yard and Rioja is on loan to a lovely family and Beau is at a different yard which can be hard work but I love both yards so have the best of both worlds.

Would love maybe one more but time and finances sadly won't allow it at the moment

I was told Pat's a pure bred, but sometimes i see something else there and will never know for sure as the recue had no history and the owner who starved him wont give me any info :( Pat was also supposed to be 12/13 but the dentist said he's nearer 18/19 lol. Hes still going strong , full of 'Patittude'and weve become very close the past year and a half that ive owned him.
Reply author: debs Oh I remember the before pic's of your boy, he's looking fab! Maybe someone on here will have more info!

Reply author: Emmo We (sister and I) currently have 5 and they are kept on a sheep farm about 20 mins drive from home. They distance is an issue but we have been there for nearly 10 years, the horses are really happy and the hacking is fantastic! Here are the gang.....

Reply author: Pashon2001 Parkville and sab - Vervencio is by Vervaldee (Versace x Giavanna) out of Sheza Miracle WA (Versace x Narraa), he's my up and coming stud colt.
Reply author: george Lemon is a little s*d, but so sweet with it he gets away with everything...usually somebody else's carrots from the store room where he likes to raid if the doors open before we had him he had been tethered on waste ground and really teased and tormented by teenagers, he's still afraid of "big boys" but getting a lot better, as my girls get fed in the yard he's the last to leave as he hoovers up whatever they leave on the ground..I call him my mini vac

Sad the previous owner will not share his history, maybe his breeder will see him on here and will fill you in on him. Thanks Debs, he is doing so well :) The woman who starved him is mad that the rescue painted a poor picture of her (anonymously obviously) on their website, she was very vague as to where she got him even as far as which state he came from, you'd think shed have some kind of paperwork or name of a person she got her horse from.

Thanks LYNDILOU, he acts like an Arab a lot of the time, and looks like one, although not as typey as some. An old coggins from when his last owner bought him said 'R' which means registered but ive been through Datasource and cant find anything close to him within years of his age. And im twice as lucky and proud to have Pat as he is to have me :)

Reply author: Goldenmane I'm sorry sab2, but don't they count as one???
Reply author: pintoarabian One more than I thought I did! Gave up counting a long time ago but I wormed them all yesterday (buy in bulk) and I was left with one less syringe than I should have had. So, had to count....woops, where did that one come from?
Reply author: sab2 Goldenmane i keep telling my OH that they don,t even make a full horse if you stood them on top of each other but he still counts them as two , yes they are terrible trouble i spent ages yesterday after Dibbers got his back leg stuck through a funtub handle then ran off in fright with the funtub stuck to his leg, took ages to catch him and extract his leg from the funtub poor lad, and when you muck them out the poo is so small it falls through the fork .
Reply author: Zenitha Well we've just added a baby I think that takes us up to 15.....with 2 more foals due.....so much for hubby's 'one in one out' policy
Reply author: jaj Sab2, they are unbelievably cute !
Reply author: Arabianknights As of this weekend, we have increased our numbers from 2 to 3! 1 pure bred, 1 Anglo and 1 TB... I always dreamed of having my own horse and can't believe we've got 3!
