Endurance in the South East 2004 Did you know most endurance events that take place in the South East include a shorter pleasure ride class? Non-Members are welcome. Come and enjoy excellent riding over some of our most stunning countryside and get a taste of what this friendly sport entails. How to enter Send completed entry form to ride secretary (details opposite). Please note that Berkshire Downs and Ride the Wight require competitors to send for a separate schedule. Include: – 1. Large SAE (minimum A5) 2. Cheque payable to Endurance GB. (non-member pleasure ride entry fee is £12.50) 3. Proof of 3rd party liability Insurance, or £3 for day cover. 4. Copy of flu Vac certificate if required All Horses must be aged four or over. Entries close two weeks before ride or when full. Approximately one week before the ride you will receive a Map, General Instructions and your Start Time On the Day Riders to wear numbered bibs. £5 deposit required (correct money please). Hard Hats PAS015 or equivalent to be worn. No spurs. Whips must be less than 30”. Boots or shoes must have heel (or caged stirrups can be used.) All riders to follow country code. Pleasure Rides must be completed at between 8 and 12km per hour (approx 5-8 mph). All horses to be checked by farrier before the start. All horses will be trotted up without saddle before the ride. All horses to be trotted up between 20 and 30 minutes after completion of ride. Rosettes to all sound completions within the time. All rides run under Endurance GB Rules; available from the Stoneleigh Office. Ride organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without explanation.
