The year 2007 was a very special year for us in many ways as we decided this would be the year we would return to the show ring, in the years previous we had a family of our own and found a new location to build on Carradale Arabians so with Championships being won and the season coming to an end we decided now would be a good time to look for some new blood to compliment our young broodmares.

Arabian Lines is a website I would visit daily to catch up on the goings on of the Arabian horse world throughout the UK and when visiting the New Arrivals page there he was "MONTY" a beautiful chestnut colt with the most dished head, i was captivated by him!!  As the days and weeks went by i would always check on the forum to see him and started to research his pedigree - not only was he stunning his breeding was incredible so I decided - I HAD TO HAVE THIS COLT!!

I contacted his breeder Linda Lyall of Affinity Arabians to ask if he was available for purchase and after the long drive to Leicester he was heading for Scotland.

His dam Estoniah was purchased from Osterhof Stud in Germany where Linda had her Inseminated by Ajman Moniscione before arriving in the UK, Estoniah is by the world Champion stallion Espano Estopa.

Monty's sire Ajman Moniscione himself  very beautiful and fast becoming a world class stallion is sired by the Champion Maker WH Justice,  the fact that Monty has many great horses in his pedigree is the reason we choose him for our own breeding programme but he had to tick many boxes!!  Carradale is a small family run stud with myself and my husband Ean, we also have 2 young children and all our chosen horses have to fit in and around our busy lifestyle so Monty not only would be a breeding and show horse but would have to be a useful sort as we plan to break him to saddle as a riding horse.

Monty has settled in well to our way of life and is growing in to the beautiful young stallion that we had hoped for. In 2009 we decided he should be shown at a few shows and learn about what was beyond the stud and again he didn't disappoint us he Won his class and went Junior Champion at the Scottish Group Show then went on to win the Classic Head title following in his fathers footsteps!!  He was also shown a few times south of the border gaining 2nd at the Classic Arabian horse show where he Qualified for the UKIAHS he also made it to the National Championships at Malvern but due to a bump on the nose from the stable door we withdrew him from the class.

Monty is a very beautiful horse to look at - he has the most stunning chestnut coat with that iridescent cooper sheen like a shinny new penny, he is a very exuberant and playful colt and loves to play, you will often find his "wellie boot" thrown outside his stable !!  He is a natural born show off and loves to prance around his paddock with neck hooked and nostrils flared snorting and blowing trying to impress all around him. He keeps us all on our toes and absolutely adores my 5 year old daughter Ellie who loves to give him kisses and twirl his forelock, he is stabled in the barn next to our senior stallion Nikkodemus who keeps him in check and his adoring mares who love to flirt with him as they come and go.  Our horses all live as natural a lifestyle as possible and he goes out of a daytime next to Nikki surveying all around him whether it be the mares and foals or the postman making his deliveries he is all we had hoped he would be and we hope he will continue to grow and become the great sire that his breeding would suggest.

We are absolutely thrilled to own such a colt and get very excited about the possibilities we can achieve with Monty - He has some superb mares of our own to cover with Judals Miamara (Ruger AMW X TFA Mira by Roulette) and Judals Little Kiss (Ruger AMW X Kkiss of Gold by Legacy of Gold) roll on 2011! 

Monty will be available to a few select mares for the 2010 breeding season by AI Chilled and Frozen semen his sire Ajman Moniscione's breeding book is already closed for this year therefore making his son the perfect choice for your mare.
