“Piligrim
was a sweet foal, Popova is one of our favourite mares
and of course Balaton has a history
with us. We have
not seen him since he was bought and went to Germany so maybe
his outing to The British Nationals will be nice for us too.
Good luck with you future together The Carrey Family and Piligrim”

Piligrim
was owned by Murana Stud (Germany) where he stood as their
premium sire. He covered select mares which have provided
a selection of excellent foals. Piligrim is one of the prettiest
Russian horses I have ever seen, together with his outstanding
movement and size we hope he will enjoy his life in England
with a happy and successful breeding / show career.
“We
had many good years with Piligrim at our stud; he is a
very very sweet horse and a perfect
gentleman. Due to
change of our breeding program this meant sadly Piligrim had
to be for sale, but to one special home only" - Murana Stud.

Piligrim
is now owned by the Currey family of Rose
Bank Stud (England).
The Currey's have been involved with horses for many years.
They breed thoroughbred horses for competition, and have
achieved many awards. They have also turned their efforts
into helping
the equine world. Paul and Janet
Currey have rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 40
happy healthy horses. I think this is a very special thing
they
have done and hope they do not stop. Well done the Curreys.
Janet
says - "I have been involved in horses for over 26
years, my first was an Arab x Thoroughbred, which
fuelled
a passion for the Arabian breed.”
Janet
has always had a passion for Arabian Horses, being involved
with the AHS since the early 90`s she has now decided
it is time for some fun. Their first Arab was to be a beautiful
filly by the name of Gabriella (Sandhiran x Echo Bay). This
athletic filly with her type and substance will be seen in
2005. The second horse was bred at the well known Cawthorn
Arabian Stud by Susan Birdsall. C.A.S Lady Octavia is by
the wonderful
Arastin out of the world famous Bur-Sable, she too can also
be seen in 2005.
“I
have never really looked at the Arab breed, but since we
have owner four of them I am overwhelmed
to the intelligence
and beauty"- says Paul

One
day in conversation it was made known to me Janet had always
dreamed of owning a Balaton son, but thought her dream
too ambitious. Little did she know I knew the whereabouts
of Piligrim, with the help from husband Paul and the Murana
stud (Germany)
Piligrim was to come to England. I hope Paul and Janet are
happy with the new edition to their stud. Janet said...
“Wayne
had already seen Piligrim in Germany, there was no reason
to even go to see him. I thank
you Wayne from
the bottom of my heart
After arriving in early May we got to work with
the conditioning and training ready for his presentation in England
in 2005.

As
soon as he came off the transporter I felt amazing, all the
years of yearning. Pinch me I said. Is this stallion really
mine?"
The
feeling was described to me by Janet." I swam with
dolphins three years ago. Its the same feeling".
Piligrim
has already
entered his first competition and was awarded best
of show.
Piligrim is standing at WW.T for his 2005 and 2006 breeding seasons;
from here he will also be taking the challenge at the 2005 British Nationals
with handler Wayne Walker. “GOOD LUCK PILIGRIM”
“ We
can not wait for the Nationals now, we have three horses there with Wayne,
and we
will enjoy every moment of it."

Rose
Bank Stud is a beautiful place with professional facilities
and a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere where I am sure there
will be continued success. I
would like to wish the Currey family the best of luck with
their future projects.
“From
all of us at Murana Stud we wish you the best of luck for
the British Nationals with Piligrim
and your future
together."
