CHERIF CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
 

This qualifying competition is open to registered Anglo & Part-bred Arab stallions, mares and geldings, four years old and over, any height and to be judged as ridden horses/ponies. All Part-breds must contain the minimum 12½% Arab blood. Novice classes and those mixed with Pure breds are not eligible. The judge must be on the ridden panel of the Arab Horse Society. The only exception being any show that is not affiliated to the AHS, that is having difficulty obtaining a judge, may, with permission of the Cherif Championship committee, choose a judge from an alternative ridden panel. The final will be held at the Cherif Championship Show, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington, Bucks. on 14th September 2011.

At the final, there will be four Championship classes, including 148cms and under. Rosettes and prize money awarded to 10th place. All entries are likely to be measured at the final, and if found to be over height for the class entered, cannot transfer, and will therefore be disqualified.

CLASSES SPLIT AT 148cms. & UNDER/OVER

148cms & Under: Will not be ridden by the judge at qualifying shows, but will be ridden by a lightweight adult at the Cherif Championship final.
One entry will qualify. The highest placed entry within the first four in the class who has not already qualified, will qualify.

Over 148cms: Will be ridden by the judge at qualifying shows.
Two may qualify. The highest placed entries within the first four in the class at (a) up to and including 153cms and (b) over 153cms will qualify. No entry placed lower than fourth can qualify, even if only one height section is covered by the top four in the class.

ONE CLASS - MIXED HEIGHT

ONE CLASS - MIXED HEIGHT: Ponies of 148cms & under will not be ridden by the judge at qualifying shows, but will be ridden by a lightweight adult at the Cherif Championship final.
Two may qualify. The highest placed entries within the first four in the class at (a) up to, and including 153cms. and (b) over 153cms. will qualify. No entries placed lower than fourth can qualify, even if only one height section is covered by the top four in the class.

Competitors must carry their qualifying cards with them in the ring to be signed by the judge. Failure to produce the card for signature means non-qualification. NO CARDS ARE TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE RING ONCE THE CLASS HAS STARTED. All qualifiers will receive rosettes. Please refer to R.I.H.S. schedule re. qualifying rule for entry to this show.

Should you feel that the qualifying rules have not been adhered to, please inform me as soon as possible after the event. In the event of an incorrect qualification, the Committee will overrule the error. Once qualified, please return your signed qualifying card immediately to Mrs Tina Day. Once qualified, if you intend to qualify at one of the 2011 shows for the year 2012, an additional card must be purchased.

It is a condition of entry that a photostat copy of AHS. Registration Certificates must be sent with entry forms.
